| Lithics Typology is a very subjective area of Archaeology, There are so many variables when trying to determine a point typology it can boggle one's mind. There are considerations of width to thickness, flake styles and cross section which cannot be determined by a picture. I don't claim to know everything there is to know about typology. These picutures show the basic form of each point type I am familiar with in Connecticut. This page is based upon the best of my knowledge to date. All the points depicted on these pages are from Connecticut unless otherwise noted. |
